Summer of Colour 3 - Week 5 - wash day reds and yellows!

Summer of Colour 3- Week 5

Wow, we are on week 5 already, only one more week to go!
I'll be sad to see this challenge end!
-oOo-
Candy Apple Red & Yellow
are this weeks colours!
This colour combo is a little out of my comfort zone
 ...and I'm still stitching!!!
(If you've not seen my last four SOC posts...
I'm using this fab colour challenge
to teach myself to embroider...)

...using the 'Little Stitches ' book by Aneela Hoey

...I'm having so much fun learning to stitch with Kristin's colour challenges...and what a lovely SURPRISE, when I went to check out this weeks chosen colours combo over at Twinkle Twinkle...I won last weeks  generous and gorgeous pink and grey goodies giveaway...WAHOOOO !!....
THANK YOU soooo much Kristin

Anyway this is my contribution  for
Candy Apple Red & Yellow

I've embroidered my washing line
onto some vintage linen
using candy apple red and yellow cottons.....
in a variety of stitches (running stitch, backstitch, French knots, split stitch and straight stitch)
-oOo-
...then I added an assortment of candy apple red and yellow buttons.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone else has done with these lovely colours and next and the last weeks Colour prompt..
-oOo-
...if you would like to join in the fun and to see some wonderful colourful inspiration!
....hop over to

Thanks for Peeking!

  4. Congrats on the win this week, Jan. You surely deserve it, since you have put SO much into this weekly challenge. I've been super impressed each week, and this week is no exception with your clothes line filled with yellow and red creations. As I said last week, I suspect by the end of this challenge you will have a full spectrum of thread/floss to embroider anything and everything creative!
