Compendium of Curiosities 3 - Challenge 5.... Distress watercoloring

Over at Studio L3
the lovely Linda Ledbetter is hosting challenge #5 of the 
Compendium of Curiosities Challenges
with her fabby Curiosity crew...
using the Tim Holtz Compendium of Curiosities Volume III book.
...and for this challenge, INSPIRATION EMPORIUM, and Tim and Mario have very generously donated more prizes!
 
Challenge 5
Challenge #5 is Distress watercolouring technique as shown on page 39 of Tim's book.

Anyway, here are the main ingredients for my tag....
and this is the tag I made for this challenge.....
 
I've loved playing with the watercolour technique.
I've also added some remnant rubs, film strip, mini fasteners, hinge clip ,ribbon and buttons.

  1. Ooh Jan,this is fab! You have coloured it so beautifully as always. Really love that little girl stamp,super cute. I have some distress markers but can't seem to get along with them,not to your standard anyway :)

  3. This is just gorgeous Jan! I love the watercolour trend these days I just can't get it quite right when I try! Perhaps the trick is to start small and work my way up? The image is so cute and love that you added the little wings. xx

  9. Jan...what an awesome tag! Your little rainy day girl stamp is adorable and you've done such a perfect job of watercoloring her! I love how she is stamped in black and you've also used black remnant rubs on that really cool splattered background. Then you've matted everything on black before popping it onto a kraft tag. That really makes all of your work pay off even more...the contrast in colors! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful art with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
