Coffee Stains.......

Over at
Challenge # 64
It's all about ....

‘Discolouration’  (UK / Australian spelling)
‘Discoloration’  (American spelling)
 here is a definition:
Dictionary:   discoloured/discolored ....marking or area with a stain.
This could be with spilled ink or spray or coffee/tea stain … or perhaps a discoloured photo – or you may want to use the word in a title or in a quote?

So...this is what I did for my DT piece...
I grabbed my arty journal....
..and decided to make a discoloured background from coffee granules!
1. wet journal pages with water.. either spray it on, or paint liberally with a paintbrush.
2.Sprinkle some coffee granules randomly over your pages.
3.let the coffee granules do their stuff!...spray more water if you desire.
4.Dont be afraid to use your paintbrush to swoosh the coffee around a little.
5. Use your heat gun to make the coffee drip and dry your pages.
6. Add some coffee to water and make circle (ring) stains, by printing the rim of a cup  and add some more splats of your coffee/water. Then dry with heat gun again.
7. At this point you could also discolour some scraps of paper to add to your journal page.

and you should get a background similar to this...
My journal background all discoloured with coffee stains.
But...I couldn't just leave it like this... I added some stamping, paper scraps, old postage stamps, distress inks and paints...
and this is the end result...

Now Hop over to.

..for the full deets on this challenge...and see what other wonderful inspiration my arty team mates have created for this
 Discolouration challenge
....and there's a Super prize up for grabs  for the challenge winner...

Thanks for Peeking!
